Mayors Across Hudson Valley Endorse Pat Ryan

KINGSTON – Eight Mayors across the Hudson Valley have thrown their support behind Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan. The Mayors of Beacon, Ellenville, Kingston, Middletown, Newburgh, New Paltz, Red Hook, and Rhinebeck all agree that West Point graduate and combat veteran Pat Ryan is the best choice to represent the area in Congress.

“As Ulster County Executive, I have worked with our local leaders at all levels of government to deliver the critical services that our residents both need and deserve,” Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan said. “From investing in our infrastructure, our parks and trails, and providing critically-needed housing, when government partners together we get tangible results. As a member of Congress, I will do exactly the same to deliver for the residents of our district.”

“I am excited to support Pat Ryan for Congress,” City of Middletown Mayor Joe DeStefano said. “Pat Ryan has a proven track record of leadership, both from his time in Orange County at West Point to his successful tenure as Ulster County Executive. I am looking forward to working with Pat on behalf of the residents of Middletown and I encourage them to join me in supporting Pat’s candidacy.”

“Pat Ryan is the kind of leader that I look forward to working with in the City of Newburgh,” City of Newburgh Mayor Torrance Harvey said. “Pat has a proven track record of providing housing, creating jobs, and protecting our environment. I’m proud to endorse Pat Ryan and I look forward to working with him.”

“I am proud to support County Executive Pat Ryan in the Democratic primary for Congress,” City of Beacon Mayor Lee Kyriacou said. “From his time at West Point to his time leading Ulster County through a pandemic, Pat Ryan has shown that he has the drive and leadership skills to represent the diversity of all our communities.”

“I’m honored to support Pat Ryan for Congress,” City of Kingston Mayor Steve Noble said. “Pat has been a leader for our community in trying times, and he will bring a service-minded approach that is much needed in Washington. He has been a champion for the City of Kingston, and he will be a tremendous Congressman.”

“Pat Ryan is a dedicated service oriented leader who we need in Washington,” Village of Rhinebeck Mayor Gary Bassett said. “I’m proud to endorse Pat because I know that he will work to deliver for communities like Rhinebeck and that he will serve us with integrity and honor in DC.”

“Pat Ryan is a hardworking big picture leader,” Village of New Paltz Mayor Tim Rogers said. “I appreciate our shared values and his relentless commitment to engage community members. He will do an excellent job representing the cross section of our neighbors as our Congressperson in DC.”

“County Executive Pat Ryan is the best candidate to serve us in Congress,” Village of Ellenville Mayor Jeff Kaplan said. “From leading us through COVID to leading his fellow soldiers in Iraq, Pat has what it takes to deliver for us in Washington.”

Last week, Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan was unanimously selected as the Democratic nominee in the special election to succeed Antonio Delgado. In addition, his campaign has the support of the Working Families Party. At the conclusion of the special election, Ryan will campaign in the newly-drawn 18th Congressional District for the general election in November.

Pat Ryan is a fifth-generation Ulster County resident and a native of Kingston, NY. He graduated from West Point and served two combat tours in Iraq, before returning home to start two businesses to deliver better technology to our troops overseas.
