KINGSTON – Ulster County Clerk Nina Postupack is pleased to welcome the My Kingston Kids Photography Now! youth program to the Matthewis Persen House Museum on Saturday, July 9th from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. The house is located at 74 John Street in uptown Kingston, at the corner of John and Crown Streets. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Join the talented students from the My Kingston Kids Photography Now program at their summer exhibit opening from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. The students’ photographs will remain on display at the Persen House through August 27th. Photography Now is an 8-week beginner photo program for youth ages 13-18. Students learn the history of photography, artistic and technical application of the medium to directly working with professional DSLR cameras to working with cellphones. The program is taught by local professional photographer Star Nigro in association with the Ulster County Restorative Justice & Community Empowerment Center.

“Photography Now gives students the opportunity to interpret the world around them through the lens of a camera,” states County Clerk Nina Postupack. “The unique style and content of each photograph shows the creativity and talent that the students possess. It is a truly wonderful exhibit!”
