Newburgh Armory Unity Center Hosts Giving Day

The monthly Giving Day event held at the Newburgh Unity Armory Center, volunteers were met with a huge assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables, including: plums, grapes, kale, onions, green beans, zuchinni and tomatoes to distribute to clients. Due to the contribution of several local farms many people in need will now have priceless healthy food to enjoy with their families during these challenging times.

NEWBURGH – Friday, at the monthly Giving Day event held at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, residents were met with a huge assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables, including: plums, grapes, kale, onions, green beans, zuchinni and tomatoes to distribute to clients.

Friday, at the Newburgh Armory Center, Bill Kaplan, stopped by to mingle with volunteers and guests at the monthly Giving Day event, providing food, clothing and other essential items to area residents. Here, Kaplan is seen with Giving Day chief organizer, Marietta Allen, who works diligently year round to secure critical items fir the well- attended and much appreciated event.
