Planned Parenthood Has Endorsed Julie Shiroishi

Julie Shiroishi, candidate for New York’s 39th Senate District, announced that Planned Parenthood Empire State Votes PAC has endorsed her campaign.

Shiroishi said, “ At a time when our right to control our own bodies is under attack, I am humbled to have received the endorsement and support of Planned Parenthood Empire State Votes PAC.

“For decades, Planned Parenthood has been on the front lines protecting our access to contraception and reproductive healthcare. As the only pro-choice candidate running for the 39th, I am proud to fight alongside them to protect those who seek and provide abortions in this state and in this country,” Shiroishi continued.

“We are up against an organized and well-funded effort to turn back the clock on a half century of progress, but I am confident that last week’s overwhelming turnout in Kansas is proof that the vast majority of voters are rejecting these extremist attempts to strip us of our reproductive healthcare freedoms.”

The 39th Senate District includes portions of three counties: Dutchess (Beacon, Beekman, East Fishkill, Fishkill, La Grange, Pawling, City and Town of Poughkeepsie, Union Vale, and Wappinger), Orange (Towns of Montgomery and Newburgh and the City of Newburgh) and Putnam (Philipstown and Putnam Valley).
