Rothschild New Habitat Executive Director

NEWBURGH – The board of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Marie Rothschild as executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh.

Jill Marie is the current executive director of Jewish Family Service of Orange County.

Previously she worked at Inspire CP and Safe Homes of Orange County. She is an adjunct professor at SUNY New Paltz where she teaches as an adjunct in the Social Justice Studies department.

Paul Brothe, president of the board of directors, summed up the reason for choosing Jill Marie, after interviewing many qualified candidates. “Jill Marie brings many years of non-profit experience serving people in Orange County. We have been impressed with her leadership skills and ideas about our mission of providing affordable housing.”

Jill Marie said, “ I am honored to become part of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh team. The work that the agency does focusing on equity and inclusion for the Black and Latinx communities is aligned in my commitment for social justice. I am enthusiastic to continue their mission and work along side the staff, volunteers, board and donors. I look forward to leading the agency as the new Executive Director.”

Jill Marie will officially begin her duties on October 4.
