FRESH MEADOWS – Montgomery’s own David Quinones released his new film, “Love”… Falling Is The Easy Part,” on Saturday, August 27th. Well, he’s actually from Brooklyn (Red Hook Projects), but has been living in Montgomery for the last four years because he likes the “farmland.” David began his filmmaking journey in 2001 creating, alongside Jonathan Hall & IMOK Enterprises, the documentary “Heart Of The Brooklyn Sound.” The documentary shows the shaping of gospel music from the 70s to the early 2000s from its start in Brooklyn.

“That’s what started me. The documentary… That’s what sparked my interest into doing film,” said Quinones.

Quinones released his new film, “Love… Falling Is The Easy Part” with his partners Clyde Salliey and John Arrington with their production companies Reel Block Pictures, Inc. and Select House Pictures, Inc. It stars Tashan Steven Muldrow as the male lead who plays “Mason.” Amber Miller Moore plays “Brooklyn,” the female lead.

“A synopsis of the film [is] two people… fall… in love… That is the easy part… They enjoy one another and then, of course, as time progresses, we start to see everything isn’t as what it seems which is very [much] based in reality. You learn as individuals the things you like, the things you don’t like… Throughout the course of the movie, we have to find out if they make it… if they can get through the obstacles and the things that they’re learning along this journey called love,” said Miller Moore whose character “Brooklyn” is working all of the time and climbing up the corporate ladder and her man “Mason” doesn’t like it as he’s a successor to generational wealth who doesn’t enjoy being alone.

No movie is complete without a comedic sidekick. Ashford J. Thomas fills those shoes. He plays “Rich”- another obstacle.

“As a bachelor… I think a brother should stay a bachelor. He should be living better than what he is. She’s beautiful and all that stuff. I’m just educating the young. He needs to get out there and spread his wings a little bit,” said Thomas who plays “Rich” who hates on “Mason” and “Brooklyn’s” relationship, encouraging “Mason” to “play the field.”

Not only was the film released on Saturday, there was also a red carpet movie premiere at the Bombay Theater in Fresh Meadows. After the premiere there was a Q&A with the cast and crew, a networking party, and an after party. The movie is available in several locations.

““Love… Falling is The Easy Part” is available on Amazon Prime… We’re launching a film app., like Netflix and Hulu… ‘Love…’ is gonna be able to be seen on our app called Reel House Pix,” said Quinones who is also working to get it on Hulu and Tubi.

Quinones and his partners have other projects in the works. They are already working on their next project.

“We’re going into pre-production on a film called “The Quarantine Hustle’… It’s a comedy… We already have the script… We’re probably going to start casting and doing location scouting,” said Quinones. Actors can look on Actors Access, Backstage, and Casting Networks for casting information.
