NEWBURGH – Monday, August 15, at the intersection of Broadway and Lander Street in the City of Newburgh, the not-for-profit group, MARC’S Friends Support Groups- for both parents and children, along with the help of the United Way and several volunteers, held a Diaper Giveaway, distributing diaper kits- containing; diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream and hand sanitizer to over 50 people. Other critical baby supplies were also donated and all distributed.

MARC’S Friends Support Groups was created by Jemika Hall in September of 2020 after she lost her son to gun violence in 2018. The group has since collaborated with several local agencies- such as Fearless, SNUG, and Planned Parenthood while holding a Fun Run 5k as well as an upcoming fish fry at Fogarty Apartments in the City of Newburgh next Friday, August 26. The dedicated intent of the group is to help curb gun violence and bullying.
