Vassar’s Sophia Bailey sprinted over for two quick tries in the early going and it was a welcome start for the Brewers allowed for them to settle into their game plan and the focus was set piece moves from scrums.
The Vassar forwards scrummaged well and the platform allowed VC Number 8 Lauren Showalter to make good yards. By the games’ end three Vassar players had scored a brace of tries with Showalter in good company with Sophia Bailey and Caeli Porette.
Isabel Rodriguez had a good day and led the team in yards after contact. Then, late in the second half, center Caeli Porette finally made a truly dominant tackle. They have only played a handful of games but this was a crowning moment for the outside center!
Danny White looked dangerous at 15 for the Brewers and made a good tackle in the first half. It was a particularly pleasing moment when Julie Geller scored for she has worked hard this year to earn her spot.
