CANTON – The Bard College men’s basketball team lost to St. Lawrence University, 67-52, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
Bard sophomore Ayomikun Akin-Bankole had a career night, as he went 7-for-7 from the field and scored 14 points. Calvin Mader-Clark added 10 points, Tyler Bruns had nine points and six rebounds, and Greg Farrow chipped in with eight points.
“I thought we showed some good fight tonight,” Bard coach Michael Lenahan said. “To compete in the Liberty League, you have to have the mindset that every game is a battle and we did that.
“Unfortunately, St. Lawrence was able to make more plays down the stretch that we were. We’re looking forward to building on this effort when we play Clarkson.”
