Workshop on Navigating Our Household Finances

POUGHKEEPSIE & NEWBURGH – You probably won’t be surprised to hear that, according to a recent report by Salary Finance, rising prices are eating away at most Americans’ standard of living. The report goes on to say that “As inflation pressures continue, two-thirds of working adults said they are worse off financially than they were a year ago.”

If you are feeling the pinch or losing sleep over how to make ends meet, you may be interested in attending a free, online Financial Literacy Workshop on Thursday, February 2, co-sponsored by Ulster Savings Bank and United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region.

Matthew Agor, a banking veteran of over 14 years with Ulster Savings Bank and working in the Newburgh branch for seven years, will be the presenter. The workshop is entitled Navigating Household Finances and the topics to be addressed include “Ten Rules for Personal Finance,” “Money Conversations – Talking Money 101,” “Banking in a Covid-19 World,” and “Corona Virus Scams.”

To register, go to https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/finances. After you register, a Zoom link will be sent to your email address a week prior to the workshop.
