PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Mount Saint Mary College Women’s Swimming team completed the 2023 Metropolitan Championship on Sunday, placing 16th with a team total of 111.5 points. Kitty Masayda scored for the Mount in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Masayda, the lone individual to score for the Knights at the Championship, finished in a tie for 23rd place on Sunday in the 200-yard breaststroke. Masayda swam to a time of 2:36.55, sharing the 23rd position with Nat Baldinazzo from Rowan.
In the final event of the four-day meet, the Knights placed 15th in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Emily Gursky, Masayda, Grace MacHugh and Kristen Dwight touched out in a time of 4:01.76.
Mount Saint Mary completed the 2022-23 season with a 6-6 record in dual meets and posted a fourth-place finish at the 2023 Skyline Conference Championship.
