Second Annual Chili Cook-Off is a Great Success

KINGSTON – The Arc Mid-Hudson held its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off at Ole’ Savannah’s Winter Festival on February 19, 2023. Proceeds raised from the event will go to The Arc Mid-Hudson’s Fund-In-Need: The Cornell Creative Arts Center.

Attendees sampled and voted on their favorite chili categories from local restaurants and chefs, such as Blackboard Bistro, Corey’s Sugar Shack, Creekside Bar & Bistro, Deising’s Bakery and Restaurant, Dixon Roadside, The Arc Mid-Hudson’s Enrich School to Work, Foxhall Deli Home of Kingston Subs, Hickory BBQ Smokehouse and Catering, Chef Josh, Mirabella’s Restaurant,Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar, Ship to Shore An American Bistro, with water from Culligan Water of Newburgh.

“This year’s chili cook-off was a true success in terms of funds raised for The Arc Mid-Hudson and bringing awareness of who we are to the community. We have to thank all of the local restaurants for their donations and the guest bartenders who helped raise funds. The chili cook-off would not happen without Dave Amato, owner of Old Savannah Southern Table and Bar, who hosted this wonderful Winter Festival and which gave back many non-profits in our community.” said John McHugh, Chief Executive Director of The Arc Mid-Hudson.
