Maple Syrup Event Entices the Sweet Tooth

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Saturday, at Bowdein Park in Wappingers Falls, one of the many maple syrup events taking place around the region featured a pancake breakfast cooked up by Culinary Institute students. Options of blueberry, chocolate chip and blueberry were available as were sausages, hash browns and a variety of hot and cold drinks.

The day also included a Run Sap Happy 5k event as well as opportunities to see the tapping of the maple on the various trees dotting the Park’s grounds.
