NEWBURGH – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), the region’s premier discount retail chain with 152 stores across the Northeast, recently celebrated the grand opening of its store in the Town of Newburgh, New York, located in the former ShopRite space at 88 North Plank Road. The store is OSJL’s 16th location in New York and its first in Orange County.
Joining Ocean State Job Lot executives for the grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Town were: Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio; Deputy Town Supervisor Scott Manley; Councilman Anthony LoBiondo; Councilman Paul Ruggiero; Town Clerk Lisa M. Vance Ayers; John Ward, Planning Board Member; and Stephanie DeLuca, Planning Board Member/Consultant.
During the celebration, Ocean State Job Lot donated a pallet of non-perishable food to the Union Presbyterian Church Food Pantry and a pallet of housewares including rugs, dinnerware, bath towels and more to the YIT Foundation, as part of the company’s Close To Our Heart initiative.
Visitors in attendance also enjoyed a visit from the Easter bunny, along with food trucks, free activities, and giveaways.
