BEACON – Hudson River Sloop Clearwater has joined forces with the City of Kingston to put together its ninth annual Earth Fair at T. R. Gallo Park and the Rondout Creek waterfront on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The free event, suitable for guests of all ages, will feature live music, food vendors, children’s games and activities, Hudson River education and advocacy, plus so much more.
Known for its musical heritage, Clearwater will produce two stages of live music to support the event. Performers for the 2023 Kingston Earth Fair include The Mammals, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, Reggie Harris, Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Tom Chapin, Ulsterados, Piedmont Bluz, Betty & the Baby Boomers, David and Jacob Bernz, Lara Hope & the Arktones, Taína Asili, Maria and Mateo, and more.
Additionally, the sloop Clearwater will be available for two public sails during the event at the Hudson River Maritime Museum at 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Clearwater educators and crew will be onboard to ignite passengers of all ages’ passion for the Hudson. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly for the sails.
Clearwater aims to increase accessibility through the production of smaller scale music events in the watershed and is excited to partner with local groups in its efforts. With support from the Hudson River Maritime Museum, Radio Kingston, the Eighth Step, and Catskill Mountainkeeper, Clearwater returns to its roots—drawing awareness to the Hudson River estuary under the unifying banner of song.
