Mia Prioire Takes Home Bronze at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Marist racewalkers had a banner day on Saturday morning at the Penn Relays.

Freshman Mia Priore placed third in the U20 5,000-meter racewalk. Her time of 25:35.73 was a personal-best by nearly three minutes and qualified her for the USATF U20 Championships, to be held at the University of Oregon in July.

Sophomore Marissa Sciotto placed eighth in the Olympic Development 5,000-meter racewalk, improving her personal-best in the event by more than 20 seconds, with a time of 26:04.15.

On Friday night, the Red Foxes placed 16th in the 1,600-meter relay Eastern heats. The team of Breelyn McNamara, Julia Kropo, Anaiya Bobo and Raven Stanet finished in 4:16.02.
