BEACON – Here are some July 2023 upcoming events from Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc.

July 19 – July 23 – NUNSENSE, The Off-Broadway Smash Hit Musical that ran for over 10 years comes to Bannerman’s Island! The show has been updated with new jokes, additional lyrics, and two new arrangements. NUNSENSE begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide to raise the money by putting on a variety show! Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. July 28 – The Goonies – Movie Night on Bannerman’s Island – Boat ride, tour and a movie! A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure.
