To celebrate Purple Heart Appreciation Day, the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor will be hosting a special group of Purple Heart recipients from the Leatherstocking Honor Flight Veterans Initiative, on Saturday August 5th at 1:30 p.m. They are spending the day in the Hudson Valley honoring Purple Heart history, visiting Washington’s Headquarters and the Hall of Honor. We invite the public to come and show your support for our Purple Heart veterans. The program will include a presentation on the observance of this day followed by a tour of the museum. Parking, gift shop, and picnic grounds are located on site. Gallery exhibits are open 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday – Saturday and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.
