Students in the Summer Program at Harry L. Edson Elementary School recently had a special visit from the Kingston Fire Department (KFD).

KINGSTON – KFD Firefighter Michael Schabot and other KFD Firefighters held an interactive lesson with students about all things fire safety. Students learned about each part of the fire trucks, tools, protective equipment, what to do in the event of a fire, and even got a demonstration of how firefighters use their ladders to go up into buildings. At the end of the lesson, students were able to sit in and see the insides of the fire trucks first hand, and even got their own fire helmets to wear!
