Friday, the very- well attended Giving Day once again took place at the Newburgh Armory Unity Cente. Bill Kaplan, made a surprise appearance, surrounded by several volunteers as well as Giving Day Director, Marietta Allen, seated and displaying one of the beautiful donated blankets available.

NEWBURGH – Friday, the very- well attended Giving Day once again took place at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center.

This month, Bill Kaplan, made a surprise appearance, surrounded by several volunteers as well as Giving Day Director, Marietta Allen, seated and displaying one of the beautiful donated blankets available. Also adding to the uniqueness of the day, there was an extra hefty supply of produce- including; nectarines, peaches, watermelon, kale, chard, green beans, and eggplant- from farms spanning all over Orange County and the Adirondacks, all picked within 24 hours of the event. A special delivery of bedding and clothing from two counties as well as 50 beautiful hand knit blankets and comforters, compliments of the Lions Club, were also available. The day further featured over 60 food items for visitors to choose from and enjoy.
