NEWBURGH – Remadee Love and Prayer & Hustle are excited to announce a transformative community event dedicated to enhancing self-esteem and promoting mental health among individuals of all ages.
“The Authentic Path to Self Esteem” will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 257 Liberty St. in Newburgh, NY. Admission is $10 for adults and free for those under 18 (with all proceeds to be donated to The Newburgh Performing Arts Academy). Youth organizations from around the Hudson Valley are invited to attend the event free of charge.
As Newburgh is ranked among the most dangerous cities in the country, this event is designed to encourage positive change and uplift the mental health of Newburgh residents. It will focus on topics such as the effects of childhood trauma and building authentic motivation with the goal of having everyone leave the event with an increased level of self-esteem and an assured feeling of self-worthiness.
To help promote a healthy depiction of self-image, confidence to realize goals, and overall mental and emotional wellness through motivational speeches and artistic expression, helpful resources will be provided to empower attendees to lead fulfilling lives.
“Being from Newburgh and teaching in the district, I see how discouraging it can be to try and realize your dreams and pursue your passions,” Remadee Love, a Neuro Linguistics-certified mindset coach, said. “The purpose of this event is to provide that inspiration and empowerment; ultimately, encouraging the community to pursue the passion with the self-esteem in knowing that it is possible to fulfill it.”
Local performers and vendors will be featured, along with a welcome by Keisha Hall of Prayer & Hustle, and keynote speech by Remadee Love – Newburgh natives that are known for providing inspiration and supporting their community. As this is a community event with a goal of empowering people of all ages, the artists will not curse or use vulgar, degrading, violent, or sexual language during their performances.
“I love Newburgh and am proud to be a native,” Hall added. “It doesn’t matter where we come from, what matters is who we are.”
All members of the community are invited to participate and be part of the movement to promote self-esteem and mental health.
