More NFA Blood Drives Are Giving the Gift of Life

NEWBURGH – In collaboration with the New York Blood Center, the NFA Future Healthcare Professionals, also known as NFA Health Science Career students, hosted their first blood drive of the season. This dynamic group of students welcomed 53 registered donors who donated a total of 39 pints! This is incredibly helpful in light of the blood emergency that was recently declared for not only our area but nationwide.

Mark your calendars for upcoming blood drives at NFA Main Campus and NFA North Campus.

Students can donate blood beginning at age 16 with their parents signature and donate on their own once they turn 17. Each donor receives a blood donor card in the mail, which makes the sign in process much easier. Teachers, administrators, and community members donate regularly as well.

The NFA North Campus team are grateful to those who donated and assisted with setting up the gym. A big shout out to Jim Dippre and his staff, Mr. Gayle and his security team, and all of the teachers who wrote emails granting permission for their students to participate.
