The Bard College women’s soccer team fell 3-0 on a rainy Saturday afternoon to Liberty League opponent Union at Frank Bailey Field at Bertagna-Class of 1985 Stadium.
Bard (4-5-1, 0-4-1) and Union (6-3-2, 2-1-1) were even for most of the first half. The Garnet Chargers finally broke through, scored their first goal in the 29th minute, and added a second within four minutes of the first goal. Junior Seymone Rosenberg tallied nine saves in the match, including a penalty kick save in the 25th minute.
In the second half, junior Waleska Brito took a shot to the low center of the goal but Union’s goalkeeper saved it. Within two minutes of the Raptor shot, the Garnet Chargers scored their third goal. Bard still hungry to score a goal, had a shot from senior Emma Kuntz that Union saved.
