Army Mens Soccer Falls to American 3-0

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Army men’s soccer fell to American Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-0.

The action through the first 20 minutes went back and forth as both teams looked to score the opening goal. The Eagles eventually broke through in the 19th minute as junior midfielder Mustapha Sowe found the back of the net off an assist from senior Ethan Boyle to make it 1-0.

Boyle would continue to press on offense and a short two minutes later, in the 21st minute, would score American’s second goal of the day. The Black Knights would get three scoring opportunities in the second half and Army’s back-line would hold strong through the start of the second until junior midfielder Zemi Rodriguez scored the third and final goal of the game in the 60th minute off an assist from senior defender Nevin Baur.

Army will be back in action Wednesday, November 1st at 6:00 PM for their final regular season matchup at home against the Boston University Terriers.
