The Mount Secures Victory Against Russell Sage

NEWBURGH – In a thrilling non-conference showdown at the Elaine & William Kaplan Recreation Center, the Mount Saint Mary College men’s basketball team emerged victorious against the Russell Sage Gators with a final score of Mount St. Mary 78, Russell Sage 64.

The Knights dominated the first half, establishing a commanding lead with a score of 39-29. The team showcased excellent teamwork and scoring efficiency, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. The impressive performance continued in the second half, securing the Knights’ well-deserved win.

Coach Kadlubowski commended the team’s resilience and cohesive play. “We executed our game plan effectively and showed determination on both ends of the court. This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players. We look forward to building on this momentum as we approach our upcoming games.”

The Knights demonstrated exceptional shooting accuracy, particularly in the first half, with a 53.85% field goal percentage and 38.46% from beyond the arc. The team’s defensive efforts limited Russell Sage’s opportunities, contributing to their victory.

Mount Saint Mary College will play host to Marywood University on Wednesday, November 29th.
