BOSTON, MA – School history was made for the women’s track & field team in the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University on Saturday.
Grace O’Neill cleared 1.60m in the high jump, securing the school record and placing third overall. Kiana Pathirana also set a school record in the triple jump with 10.75m, earning her fifth place.
Stephania Granados also had a successful season opener as she secured personal-bests in both the 60m dash (8.28, 22nd) and the 200m dash (27.04, 12th). Julie Cristinzio also ran personal-bests in both of her events: 200m dash (27.47, 16th) and 400m dash (1:03.02, 19th).
Breelyn McNamara (27.14 13th), Julia Kropo (27.60,17th), and Kate Beebe (29.01, 21st) also ran personal-bests in the 200m dash.
The following athletes also secured personal-best times in their respective events: Madison LaCreta – 60m hurdles (9.67, 7th), Caroline Bell – 600m run (1:48.54, 8th), Grace Fletcher – 800m run (2:25.40, 15th), Parker O’Brien – Mile (5:10.90, 36th).
