NEWBURGH – In a commanding performance at the Elaine & William Kaplan Recreation Center, the Mount Saint Mary College Knights soared to an 82-35 victory over the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons. Head Coach Marion Dietz praised her team’s efforts, emphasizing their strong defensive start and the seamless transition from the starters to the bench.

The Knights jumped on the Gryphons early in the opening quarter, taking control of the game and building a substantial lead. Defensively the team held their own causing 30 turnovers. The energy carried from the starters to the players off the bench. 10 different Knights got into the game today and every single one put points on the board.

Coach Marion Dietz expressed her satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “Great team win today. We did an excellent job finding our rhythm early defensively and getting easy baskets to set the tone. Our bench did a great job continuing the work that the starters began.”
