Sen. Skoufis Hosts Annual Stuffed Animal Giveaway

MIDDLETOWN – On Tuesday, December 19th, Senator James Skoufis (D-Orange County) hosted his annual stuffed animal giveaway. A holiday tradition for the community, the event took place at Middletown’s Thrall Library. The Senator’s team hosted over two hundred families, giving away nearly 500 stuffed animals to kids young and old. Families were encouraged to take extras to give to brothers and sisters at home, cousins, and neighbors who couldn’t attend.

“I’m delighted to share this tradition with families across Orange County,” said Senator Skoufis. “We were so glad to see so many of our neighbors and friends at Thrall Library, and hope that we brought as much light and joy to them as they brought to my team and me. We encourage Orange County families to continue viewing us as a resource going forward.”

Stuffed animals for the event were generously donated by PETSMART. An additional 50 stuffed animals were donated to the Middletown Police Department, 100 to the Sacred Heart Church Parish Outreach in Monroe, 50 to the Salvation Army in Middletown, and 25 each to St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick and Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown.
