Ulster Exec Jen Metzger Sworn In to Full Term

KINGSTON – Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger has taken the oath of office for her first full four-year term. The small ceremony was held last Thursday with family in attendance in the county legislature chambers in Kingston.

County Clerk Nina Postupack administered the oath.

Metzger, who ran unopposed, said she looks forward to working with the new legislature on priority issues including housing, workforce development, climate change, and mental health.

Metzger served her first year in office having run to fill the vacancy after former Executive Pat Ryan won the election for Congressman in New York’s 18th District.
