POUGHKEEPSIE – Freshman guard Jadin Collins of the Marist men’s basketball team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Championship Team on Saturday night.
Collins averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 3.0 rebounds in Marist’s two games in the championship. He shot 13-for-19 (.684) from the field.
In Marist’s quarterfinal win over Niagara on Thursday, Collins finished with 20 points, five steals, and four assists. He shot 9-for-11 (.818) from the field. The point and assist totals were career high, and Collins is the only player in the conference this season to record a game with 20 points and five steals while shooting at least 80 percent from the field, according to the College Basketball Reference Play Index.
