17th Annual Scholarship Gala at Grandview

POUGHKEEPSIE – Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Beyond the Dream Foundation host the 17th Annual Scholarship Gala at the Grandview Ballroom The Poughkeepsie (NY) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. and the Beyond the Dream Foundation are delighted to announce the 17th Annual Scholarship Gala to be held at the stunning Grandview Ballroom. This gala is not only an event, during which attendees will have a great time and help provide scholarships for college bound seniors from low-income families, it is also a celebration of excellence, leadership, and community support. The gala is scheduled for June 15, from 6 PM to 11 PM, the evening promises to be an unforgettable experience of elegance and empowerment.

This year, the chapter and foundation are honored to celebrate the legendary Bill Duke—an esteemed actor, director, and producer whose career has significantly influenced the film industry. Mr. Duke is known for his roles in iconic films such as “Predator” and “Car Wash,” and his directorial prowess in works like “Deep Cover”. Mr. Duke has entertained millions worldwide, and he has passionately advocated for African American voices in the theater arts. His commitment to mentoring young filmmakers and actors has made a lasting impact on Hollywood and beyond.
