LDCOC New York Endorses Political Candidates

ORANGE COUNTY – The Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County (LDCOC) New York enthusiastically endorses the following candidates for the 2024 election cycle:
USA Presidency:
Kamala Harris for US President
Tim Walz for US Vice-President
NY State Senate:
James Skoufis for State Senate, 42 District
Yvette Valdez Smith, for State Senate, 39th District
US Senate:
Kirsten Gillibrand for US Senate, New York
NY Assembly:
Jonathan G. Jacobson, for State Assembly AD 104
Cristopher Eachus, for State Assembly, AD 99
Paula Elaine Kay, for State Assembly, AD 100
US House of Representative:
Pat Ryan for Congressman, 18th District

In addition, we endorse and support all five NYS Supreme Court Justices running for the 9th Judicial District starting with NYS Supreme Court Justice Colleen D. Duffy; Brett Broge, Esq; Village of Tarrytown Judge Kyle C. McGovern; Westchester County Family Court Judge Mary Anne Scattaretico-Naber; Rockland County Family Court Judge Rachel Tanguay and will work hard to make sure that they as well as all our local candidates win on November 5th! In the Town of Newburgh, Dr. Mary McLymore; in Port Jervis Jackie Smith, running for City Council, 3rd Ward and in Woodbury Tyler Etzel, Jr. and John Kelemen for Village Trustees!

We also endorse New York State Equal Protection of Law Amendment (2024) which will add language to the New York Bill of Rights that will protect individuals “ethnicity, national origin, age, and disability” or “sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive healthcare and autonomy.”

Latino embodies so much of what it means to be an American. Latinos and Hispanic vote will be the deciding factor in multiple battleground races. The Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County (LDCOC) NY will work with each of the candidates to ensure their success in November led by Coach Walz and the first Black, Asian woman president of the USA!
