LEWISBURG, PA – The Marist football team dropped its non-league finale to Bucknell by a score of 34-18 on Saturday night at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
Bucknell opened the scoring with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Ralph Rucker IV to Eric Weatherly at the 12:16 mark of the first quarter.
Marist answered on its ensuing drive on Enzo Arjona’s 28-yard touchdown pass to Will Downes. The scored was tied 7-7 with 8:25 left in the first.
Bucknell scored three touchdowns in a 3:24 span early in the second quarter to take a 27-7 lead. This remained the score at halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, Connor Mendini’s 25-yard field goal cut Bucknell’s lead to 27-10 with 13:23 to play.
Rucker’s touchdown pass to TJ Cadden gave Bucknell a 34-10 lead with 5:51 remaining.
Sonny Mannino connected with Reed Dexter on a five-yard touchdown pass with 1:13 remaining. Mannino then completed a two-point conversion to Lincoln Cardillo.
