WEST HARRISON – Nine Mount Vernon High School students had the opportunity to attend the annual Girls in Aviation Day at Westchester County Airport on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Four of the students are in MVHS’s Aviation Program. The other five students were selected to attend the event by MVHS College and Careers Counselor Dawn Barrett.
During the event, they toured the airport’s facilities, met with a female pilot, flight attendants and mechanics. They even explored a luxurious $44 million private jet in the hangar.
