PAUL SMITH — The Bard College women’s basketball team had four double-digit players in today’s win over Paul Smith’s, 58-47, on Saturday afternoon.
Lexi Miller led the team with her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Miller added two assists. Maggy Peyton added 14 points and was a rebound away from a double-double with nine. She shot 4-of-8 from the field.
Aislynn Dixon scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out three assists. Tianna Gonzalez scored a career-high 10 points, shooting 3-of-6 from the field and grabbing three rebounds. Erin Tobes grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds, while Shirley Dong added nine rebounds and had a team-high five assists.
The Raptors outscored the Bobcats in the first half of the game, keeping Paul Smith’s in single-digit scoring in each quarter and preventing a make from behind the arc in 11 attempts. After halftime, Paul Smith’s fought their way back into the game as the Bobcats scored 15 points off turnovers and 17 points a piece in the third and fourth quarters.
Bard will travel to Lesley on Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
