Mount Men’s Swimming Wins One, Drops Two in Conference

NEWBURGH — Men’s swimming hosted a Skyline Conference quad meet Saturday morning, welcoming the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY Maritime to the Kaplan Center Pool. The Knights won against Sarah Lawrence (87-26), but fell to SUNY Maritime (92-71) and the United States Merchant Marine Academy (158-29).

Kyle Giuliano earned the highest finish for the Knights this afternoon in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:55.74.

Michael D’Ambrosio picked up third in the 100-yard breaststroke, coming in at 1:15.01. He also swam to fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.37) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.92).

Jackson Lerner grabbed fourth place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (24.75) and the 500-yard freestyle (6:12.33).

The Knights are back in the pool next weekend for the two-day College of Staten Island Invitational. The first session kicks off at 5:30 PM on Friday November 22.
