Mount Competes at West Point Tune Up

WEST POINT – The Mount Saint Mary College track & field teams competed in the West Point Tune-Up on Saturday hosted by Army.

Men’s
Freshman Damoy Barker finished 13th in the Men’s Shot Put, throwing 10.32 meters in his first attempt.

Senior Jordan Wallace came in 18th in the Men’s 60m with a time of 7.39 seconds. Wallace also competed in the Men’s 200m, coming in 27th with a time of 25.07 seconds.

Freshman Robert Port placed 32nd in the Men’s 60m with a time of 7.84 seconds. Port would finish 30th in the Men’s 200m with a time of 25.50 seconds.

Junior Michael Gillespie had the best time for the Knights in the Men’s 200m with 24.33 seconds, which was good enough for 15th. Gillespie also competed in the Men’s 400m where he had the highest finish on the men’s side for the Mount coming in 9th with a time of 56.59 seconds.

Women’s
Junior Lily O’Brien had a great day for the Knights, finishing 2nd in the Women’s High Jump reaching the 1.40m mark, and 2nd in the Triple Jump with her longest jump being 9.98m. She also finished 12th in the Long Jump with 4.28m.

Freshman Michaela Stack competed in the Women’s Mile placing 12th with a time of 6:19.49.

Junior Sarah Kannenberg also competed in the Mile finishing right behind Stack in 14th place with a time of 6:29.87.

Junior Maria Baldwin raced in the 60m and came in 16th with a time of 8.60 seconds. She also competed in the 200m and placed 14th at 29.13 seconds.

Freshman Christina Oquendo also competed in the 60m and 200m. She placed 31st in the 60 and 37th in the 200.

The Knight’s next meet will debut their outdoor season on Saturday, March 29th at the Panther Invite hosted by Ramapo College.
