Speaker Heastie Continues Statewide Tour

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Speaker Carl Heastie last Tuesday continued his annual statewide tour, visiting the Saratoga Polo School and attending a polo lesson with Assemblymember Carrie Woerner.

“One of the great parts of my annual tour is getting to experience first hand what different parts of our great state are renown for – and Saratoga is practically synonymous with horses,” Speaker Heastie said. “Thank you to Assemblymember Woerner and the Saratoga Polo School for this opportunity. It was great to take a lesson and to watch a match with the talented kids from Great Strides.”

“It’s always an honor to have Speaker Heastie here in the 113th Assembly District,” Assemblymember Woerner said. “Saratoga’s equestrian history is long and storied, and I’m so glad we could spend time today with the Saratoga Polo School and see the incredible work that Great Strides is doing to introduce kids to polo and equestrian sports.”

Speaker Heastie and Assembly Woerner, together with Saratoga Polo School owner and instructor Mario Dino Di Salvo and manager and instructor Shannon Hilderbrant, toured the Saratoga Polo School and took a polo lesson. The polo school is located on Patagonia Farm in Stillwater and offers both horseback riding and polo lessons to individuals of all skill levels.
