BEACON – On Friday night, the Flotsam River Circus was at Beacon’s Long Dock waterfront, where an impressive-sized crowd enjoyed their wide array of entertainment. A 501 (c) (3), the ensemble of musicians, circus performers and puppeteers, travel on an antiquated raft, delivering free performances to the public in waterfront towns. Guided by a mission to provide “magic and whimsy to the world,” they further aspire to create a fun, creative platform for the community to interact with waterways.
