KINGSTON – The Kingston City School District (KCSD) is proud to welcome their new McKinney-Vento Liaison and Bilingual Family Worker, Jenifer Restrepo Agudelo!
The McKinney-Vento Act ensures educational stability for students experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. As the liaison, Jenifer will help identify students who qualify for support, remove barriers to school enrollment and attendance, and connect families with resources and services.
Originally from MedellĂn, Colombia, Jenifer brings years of experience supporting families and vulnerable communities—both in her home country and here in the Hudson Valley.
As an immigrant, Jenifer has faced many challenges herself and understands what families often go through during times of change or transition. Her personal journey inspires her compassionate, community-centered approach, and drives her commitment to making sure all students and families feel seen, supported, and connected.
Jenifer also serves KCSD as a Bilingual Family Worker, helping bridge language and cultural gaps within our schools. She is part of a team of bilingual staff available across the district, dedicated to supporting families in meaningful and accessible ways.
