POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist women’s volleyball team fell in straight sets to Quinnipiac (25-23, 25-21, 25-16) on Saturday evening at McCann Arena in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.
Eden Bristow led the Red Foxes with a team-high eight kills, while Caelyn Dumas added five kills and 15 assists. Cecilia Potter-Pessoa anchored the defense with a match-high 16 digs, and Mallory Reck contributed six blocks and two kills at the net.
Marist battled tightly through the opening set, trading points late before the Bobcats closed it out 25–23. Quinnipiac then used an efficient second-set attack and a strong blocking effort to take control of the match.
The Red Foxes (7–14 overall, 5–4 MAAC) will now head to Western New York for a two-match road trip. Marist faces Canisius on Thursday, October 24, before visiting Niagara on Friday, October 25.
