NEWBURGH – The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has welcomed Chris Herrera to the Newburgh Free Academy (NFA) community as their new Athletic Director.
Mr. Herrera has already brought tremendous energy, leadership, and positivity to the athletic programs, connecting with students and coaches while inspiring excellence on and off the field.
His passion for helping students succeed not only in athletics but also in the classroom and in life is at the heart of everything he does.
During the Hispanic Heritage Ceremony at NFA North Campus, Mr. Herrera was recognized by the City of Newburgh Mayor, Mr. Harvey, for his remarkable journey and achievements.
As one of the only Hispanic Athletic Directors in New York, he serves as a role model for perseverance, pride, and representation.
