Vassar College Races to Fifth Place Finish

CANTON – The #18 Vassar College Women’s Cross Country team raced to a fifth place finish out of 25 scoring teams on Saturday afternoon at St. Lawrence University on the historic Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course. Juniors Haley Schonegge and Adelaide Nyhan and senior Anika Mueller-Hickler all earned All-Mideast Region honors following top-30 finishes.

Schoenegge finished fifth overall out of 185 total finishers with a time of 21:42.0 followed by Mueller-Hickler in 16th position with a mark of 22:31.1.

Nyhan registered a 27th place finish with a time of 22:52.0 along with classmate Acadia Helfand scoring a 41st place mark in 23:05.4.

Junior Cayley Swaim turned in a 50th place mark with a time of 23:22.5 while junior Norah Reade was 53rd overall with a time of 23:29.8.

Sophomore Chloe Bibula crossed the finish line with a mark of 23:50.2 for a 66th place finish to close out the Vassar finishers.
