Vassar Earns First Place Finish at Ramapo Invite

MAHWAH, NJ – The Vassar College Women’s Track and Field team earned a first place finish in the opening outdoor meet of the season as sophomore Amanda Hanrahan reset her own school record mark in the hammer throw and sophomore Lianna Camille scored a first place finish in the triple jump.

1500 Meters
Sophomore Elizabeth Lowe raced to a second place finish with a time of 4:53.28 followed by classmate Sarah France in fourth position in 5:04.68.

First year Taylor Vogt tallied a 14th place finish in a time of 5:21.85 along with classmate Emerson Wyatt in 21st place with a time of 5:29.95.

100 Meter Hurdles
Senior Freja Niklasson recorded a ninth place finish with a time of 16.82 followed closely by sophomore Elana Pukel finished 11th in 17.12.

100 Meters
Sophomore Lainie D’Auria qualified for the the finals with a new personal-best time of 12.58 to finish second overall.

In the finals, D’Auria earned a second place finish with a time of 12.69.

Camille registered a new PR of 12.97 to place ninth overall while first year Ruthie Weiss recorded a 17th place mark with a time of 13.25.

Senior Jamie Eu earned a top-30 finish with a time of 13.43 followed by sophomore Mason Wilkins-Lanier in the top-30 in 13.52.

400 Meters
Sophomore Skylar Spiro posted an 11th place finish with a time of 1:05.62.

800 Meters
Lowe earned another second place finish with a time of 2:21.05 along with France tallying a sixth place finish in 2:29.66.

200 Meters
D’Auria raced to a second place mark with a new personal-best of 25.80 followed by Camille in third position in 26.30.

First year Claire Seguin secured a 16th place finish in 27.48 along with Eu posted a top-20 finish with a time of 27.63.

Pukel crossed the finish line with a time of 29.52.

Hammer Throw
Hanrahan broke her own school record mark following a third place finish with a toss of 51.54 meters, breaking her mark by almost six meters.

Sophomore Meara Morgan set a new PR of 39.26 meters to finish 11th overall.

Long Jump
Weiss registered a fourth place finish with a mark of 4.89 meters while D’Auria finished fifth at 4.88 meters.

Eu recorded an 11th place mark at 4.59 meters along with Pukel tallying a 15th place finish at 4.49 meters.

High Jump
Weiss turned in a fifth place finish at 1.58 meters (overall season-best) while senior Abbe Colgan recorded a new PR of 1.43 meters to place 13th.

First year Maddie Delaney and Niklasson both competed for the Brewers.

Discus Throw
Senior Sydney Petrie scored a runner-up finish with a top toss of 37.96 meters while first year Anna Johnson
