Marist Offense Falls Short in 6-2 Loss

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Red Foxes bats go quiet as the they fall to Quinnipiac 6-2 on Sunday afternoon. Marist is now 13-20 on the season and 13-5 in conference play.

Quinnipiac struck first, scoring two runs in the first inning.

Quinnipiac extended its lead to three runs in the second inning.

The Bobcats added to their lead in the fifth inning, making it a 4-0 ballgame.

An RBI double gave Quinnipiac a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Scott Esposito got the Red Foxes on the board with an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Bobcats got the run back in the top of the eighth inning, taking a 6-1 lead.

Dylan Millman drew a walk with the bases loaded, giving the Red Foxes their second run of the day in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Quinnipiac closed it out in the ninth to win 6-2.
