Niagara Defeated Marist Baseball 11-6

NIAGARA FALLS – Marist Baseball took on Niagara in the final game of the weekend series, where the Red Foxes failed to climb back from an 11-0 deficit and lost the game 11-6. Marist now holds an overall record of 14-23 with a 13-8 record in conference.

Niagara took control early, scoring four runs in the first inning.

A six-run third inning gave the Purple Eagles a commanding 10-0 lead.

Niagara added to their lead with a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Marist got on the board in the fifth inning, scoring three runs.

Brady Steinert got the rally started with a solo home run.

TJ Baer capitalized on a throwing error and scored a run.

AJ Brotz scored on a passed ball.

The Red Foxes added another three runs at the top of the seventh, making it six unanswered runs and bringing the score to 11-6.

Kyle Pollack drove in two runs with an RBI single.

Nathan Lincoln reached home safely after Scott Esposito put the ball in play.

Niagara would shut down a Marist comeback, in the ninth and won by a final score of 11-6.
