Vassar 4×100 Relay Sets School Record

COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Vassar College Women’s Track and Field team opened action at the two-day AARTFC Outdoor Championships as the 4×100 relay squad set a new school record time and advanced to the final.

Heptathlon
Sophomore Elana Pukel ranks 14th overall after the first four events on Wednesday as she placed 10th in the shot put at 8.89 meters.

Pukel added a 12th place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in 16.62 along with a 12th place finish in the high jump at 1.37 meters and added a top-15 finish in the 200 meters in 28.59.

4×100 Relay
The quartet of senior Jamie Eu, sophomore Lianna Camille, sophomore Lainie D’Auria and first year Maddie Seguin broke their own school record and advanced to tomorrow’s final with an eighth place finish in 47.90.

100 Meter Hurdles
Senior Jahmilia Dennis placed 12th overall in the prelims with a time of 15.20.

5000 Meters
Senior Anika Mueller-Hickler earned a fifth place finish to earn All-AARTFC honors with a time of 17:43.95 followed by sophomore Chloe Bibula in 11th position in 18:05.10.

Senior Nora Goldberg-Courtney crossed the finish line with a time of 18:47.06.

Hammer Throw
Sophomore Amanda Hanrahan collected a seventh place finish to earn All-AARTFC accolades with a top toss of 49.67 meters.
