Vassar Raced to a Second Place Finish

TROY – Senior Haley Schoenegge broke her own program record by three seconds to earn her third straight individual first place finish as the #13 Vassar College Women’s Cross Country team raced to a second place finish out of 16 scoring teams at the RPI Fairgrounds Showdown.

Schoenegge raced around the Washington County Fairgrounds 6K course with a time of 20:49.2, outpacing her previous best of 20:52.3, to earn a first place finish out of 168 total finishers.

Junior Chloe Bibula finished 11th overall with a new career-best time of 21:43.3 followed by classmate Lizzie Lowe in 13th position in a career-best time of 21:53.1.

Senior Adelaide Nyhan notched a 16th place finish in a career-best matching 21:55.9 along with classmate Cayley Swaim placing 31st with a time of 22:27.9.

Sophomore Emerson Wyatt recorded a 34th place finish in a collegiate-best 22:33.0 followed closely by junior Hadley Snell in 35th position with a career-best time of 22:33.9.

First year Eden Panchison registered a 36th place finish in her first collegiate 6K with a time of 22:34.7 followed by senior Acadia Helfand in 55th place with a time of 23:00.3.

First year Delaney Aronson posted a 76th place finish in her first 6K with a time of 23:45.1 while classmate Grace Aplin tallied a 85th place mark in 23:59.9.

First year Avery Palmore finished in the top-100 with a time of 24:18.5, sophomore Taylor Vogt crossed the finish line in 25:23.8 and first year Jeannette Manseau turned in a time of 25:41.2.
