Newburgh Free Academy senior, Brady Danyluk, recently eclipsed the elusive- highly revered 1:50 mark in the 800 meter run, recording a blazing 1:49.9, enroute to capturing the New York State Public High School State Championship laurels. Holding several Goldback track and field records-in both individual events as well as part of relay teams, Danyluk, one of the areas most decorated middle distance runners in history, is headed to Northeastern University in the fall, where he will continue his running career while majoring in civil engineering.
