New Paltz Hawks Fall, 8-1, to St. Lawrence

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON – The State University of New York at New Paltz women’s tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback against St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon at Bard College.
 The Hawks drop to 7-6 and next host the New Paltz Tournament at the North Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 23 at 9 a.m. St. Lawrence improves to 11-5 and travels to play the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute tomorrow at 10 a.m.

 The tandem of freshman Lindsay Haley and senior Laura Tierney earned the lone win for New Paltz as the duo took flight three doubles, 8-5.

 The Hawks dropped all six flights in singles play. Sophomore Emi Lewis played the closest match, but ended up falling to her opponent, 6-2, 6-4 in flight four.
